Four steps, 30 minutes
01Pick the source and your voice samples
5 minChoose one published post you stand behind, and copy three social posts you wrote yourself. The post keeps the facts straight; your samples keep the voice.
02Draft the week
10 minAsk for one idea per post, not five summaries of the whole article.
You write social posts for [business], for [audience]. Here are three posts I wrote, so you can match my voice: [paste three of your posts] Using only the blog post below, write five posts for [your channels], one for each weekday. Give each post one idea from the article: a tip, a mistake to avoid, a question for readers, a line quoted from the post, and a link back with one reason to read it. Keep each under [length]. No hashtags or emojis unless I ask. Don’t add facts, numbers, quotes or stories that aren’t in the post. If a post needs one, write [CHECK]. Blog post: [paste the blog post]
03Edit for voice and facts
10 minRead each draft out loud. Cut anything you wouldn’t say, and check every claim against the source.
Human check: Every claim, number and name appears in the blog post; no promises about prices, dates or results; each post sounds like you, not an ad. Clear every [CHECK].
04Schedule the week
5 minLoad the approved posts into a scheduling tool (Buffer, for example) or your platform’s own scheduler, one per weekday. Or keep them in a doc and post one each morning.
What to measure beyond “time saved”
Drafts used with light edits
Out of five. If you rewrite most of them, give it better voice samples.
Replies and questions
Conversations started say more than likes do.

Is the week sending readers to the source?
Posts you had to correct
Aim for none. If any slip through, tighten the “only from the post” rule and check harder.
Common pitfalls
Five summaries of the same post. Ask for one idea per post, or your week says the same thing five times.
Letting it invent. Stats, quotes and customer stories that aren’t in the source don’t go out. Tell it so, then check.
Losing your voice. Without your own samples it writes like everyone else. Give it three real posts, and cut anything you wouldn’t say.
